Kappad Beach

Kappad, or Kappakadavu locally, is a shoreline close Kozhikode, in the region of a similar name, Kerala, India. A stone landmark introduced by government remembers the "arrival" by Vasco da Gama with the engraving, 'Vasco da Gama arrived here, Kappakadavu, in the year 1498'.
